Her debut track Here was released in the year 2015. The single garnered a lot of acclaim and was well received from critics as well as listeners. It reached the top spot at 19th on both the Canadian Hot 100 as well as Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the song one of their Top Songs in 2015. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third track, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks which reached the top spots on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. It was a special track due to her interview with Rap-Up that she conducted, many of the listeners could relate to her experience in finding love for themselves, and doubting her. Cara incorporates messages about compassion and self-love in her songs. The inspiration for her music is drawn from her own personal experience as she struggled with mental health issues and insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, she describes her album as half-tumultuous and half perfected. The growth of her career was helped by therapy. She encourages others who need help to ask for assistance. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian descent. In 2010, her parents purchased her a brand new guitar, which she used to develop her passion for music. Three years later, when she was 13 years old, she started to sing her most loved songs on YouTube. It was an excellent opportunity to show others the fact that she had ability and determination. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather ended up getting her noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to compose and record tracks.
